Party Hard 2 new trailer looks promising!

Now this is interesting... Party Hard 2 developers have decided to remake one of the best(and also hardest) levels of Party Hard 1, "Vegas Party"!
"Now with more aliens and chickens."

As a reminder, Party Hard 1 is a quite successful stealth game released in 2015, with one of the most politically incorrect storyline ever created.

You play as a lonely creepy guy who is really tired of his neighbors having loud parties at night.
So tired that you just decide to join all of the parties you can in the entire country - in USA, did I need to mention this detail? - , and kill everybody one by one with your kitchen knife, "a la Jason", using stealth as much as possible.
Except you won't just use your kitchen knife...

All the fun of the game come from the countless various ways you'll use to kill your victims, a bit like in the Hitman games.
Every level is filled with dozens of potential deadly traps, and it's a real guilty pleasure to cleverly use the environment to hide yourself OR the countless bodies you slaughtered. (I just re-read what I just wrote and decided to call the police myself. 😅)

I already played a very early version of Party Hard 2 some months ago,  and the gameplay was pleasantly similar. 😊 Now let's look at the newly released trailer!

It's still very funny to be able to install bear traps around without being noticed, but well...
If we did get noticed, I guess the game would end very fast... lol
This game is NOT supposed to be realistic and it's better that way. 😄👍

Although I realize that there's been a few complaints about the new look of the game, you've got to admit that it's still a serious improvement over the first game.
Remember how Vegas Party looked?

Personally, I LOVE the pixel art of the first game, but the new style grew on me.
The characters feel more alive(ahem... Until they feel DEAD, of course😂) and the neat pseudo-3D graphics will help find hiding places easier, in my opinion.
The first game looked a bit "flat", lighting-wise, and sometimes the bodies you thought well-hidden were in fact spotted quite easily...

On the downside, the bloom effect might be too much, and the overall colors of the first game were more in harmony with each other.
It still looks like a work-in-progress, so wait and see!

While the core gameplay is now pretty much done, the graphics are still a work-in-progress.
At least, the developers' latest post shows that they feel confident and that they tried to preserve the original feel of the game.
"...I think we got it. We finally have the design of Party Hard 2. It was a long time coming—and previous alpha builds didn't really hit home with variety and emergent gameplay features you all loved from the original Party Hard..."

If the old formula hasn't been modified(well, we can count on some improvements though), count me in, as Party Hard has been in my top 10 favorite games of the past 5 years! 😋

Oh yeah, just my opinion, but the highlight of the first game was the rooftop party!
Throwing people off the building is one of the most satisfying feelings I ever got in a game. A bit like kicking the orcs in Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.(This incredible game is not on GOG yet but you can find it on Amazon or Steam!)

*knock knock* Ah, it must be the police! See you next time!😋🔪
