Silent Hills P.T: A new PC remake in development! Yay!.... ALREADY CANCELLED.

  Still considered by many as the scariest "game" ever made, Silent Hills P.T. might finally get a proper port on PC! Originally a demo "episode" that managed to bring together Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro on a major video project, it was downloaded more than a million times in a few days! 

Unfortunately, the game was very quickly removed from the Playstation store after a strange decision by Konami. And strangely, this "curse" seems to concern EVERY unofficial remake which has been made in the past few years.😁

  Since 2014, many developers around the world have been trying to recreate this terrifying experience, and maybe the most interesting one is "Allison Road", considered as a spiritual successor to P.T., and still in a - chaotic - development.  

Qimsar, who seems very happy to work for Konami now!

  We thought we would be luckier this time, thanks to a high-skilled 17-year-old man named "Qimsar", who has entirely recreated Silent Hills P.T. using Unreal Engine. A few days ago only, Qimsar said that he would finish his project and would allow all lovers of horror to play P.T on their computer:

  "I'm developing a PT remake on PC. Many other people have tried to make their own portage, but as far as I know, I'm the only person who still works on it and I'm the only person who will finish the job." 

*Sings "two minutes to midnight"*

  Obviously, P.T. still has a huge fanbase, considering the beta was downloaded over 1,000,000 times! 
Unfortunately, as expected, Konami already shut it down. According to a statement by Qimsar, the Silent Hills port has been permanently removed. While the staff at Konami were apparently impressed by his great work and are offering him an internship, P.T. had to be removed anyway. 

This is me after seeing too many remakes being taken down.

  Despite Qimsar's best attempts to calm down the community in his "thank you and good bye" message, replies were between "congratulations, dude!" to "f*** you and f*** konami!"... 

  For the time being, you can always try to have fun with "Corridors", which is also another fine(but not as polished) remake of P.T., but which was strangely not taken down... Maybe because it differs too much from the original game?

Morale of this story: you want to work in the video games industry?
Do a mod or a remake/remaster - legally or illegally - of a very popular game(just make Half-Life 3, will you?😅), you'll get noticed for sure, and maybe even get a job/internship!
It's a bit like hackers who end up working for the C.I.A.... Ahem.
